PATRON
Care In Durham is seeking a patron that will help us raise awareness of the charity and possibly enable us to raise funds..and the more funds we raise then the more work we can do with you!
If you have any ideas of celebrities that you think might be willing to carry out this inportant work, then please let us know. if the person that you suggest becomes our patron, then we will certainly invite you through to meet them as and when they visit!
Announcement
Care In Durham would like to thank Mrs. Magaret Walton and the family of the late Cyril "Matt" Mathews for the donation of two computers. Matt was brought up in a care home in Gloucester during the 1930s and 40s and won the Sid Chaplin writer's award for his account of Christmas Day in the care home during the war years. a copy of Matt's short story can be obtained through Care In Durham on request. It makes very interesting contrast with conditions today.
Matt's legacy will replace our old and very worn out machines in the office.
Please see forthcoming events page for latest trips and activities!
July 19th will see our now annual fundraising day. this year the Development Group will be taking a 10 mile walk through Hamsterly Forest.
